It has private parking that fits six vehicles but also doubles as a great location for both badminton matches and tent parties. It’s walkable to Washington & Lee University, Virginia Military Academy, and the downtown shops and eats.

Lexington Country Club is public and just a short drive from Paxton. You’ll find two sets of golf clubs waiting for you in the left door of the carriage house. Enjoy rolling hills, beautiful views of the Blue Ridge, and challenging tee shots. Note: the club is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. For another great option, Ironwood Golf Course in Stanton, VA is about a 35-minute highway drive from Paxton, offering a scenic and enjoyable golfing experience.
